Her name, inspired by Street Etiquette's 'Slumflower' project, centered around the idea of a rose growing from concrete. Relates to her beginnings growing up in Peckham, South East London an Afro-Caribbean neighborhood currently facing gentrification. The Slumflower exudes the vibrancy of her hometown; wherever she goes, she definitely grows. Pioneering self-love and self-care through her twitter commentary and blog posts, she also nurtures her surroundings through her growth, creating events like the #BlockhimParty, encouraging self-appreciation.
